Irn Bru Scottish Second Division 2007 - 2008
With two-up and two-down each season, the ten team Third Division of the SFL must have one of the world's highest turnover of members of any national competition in the world. At this level, even modest sales of replica shirts to supporters represent an important income stream for clubs most of who who struggle to attract four-figure crowds.

Airdrie have switched from red shorts to more traditional white for this season. From the point of view of the SFL, Airdrie are a continuation of the old Clydebank FC but their choice of playing strips and their name are a clear indication that the club considers itself to be the heirs of Airdrieonians. The black away kit features pale gold trimmings.

Alloa are known as "The Wasps," a common nickname for sides that play in amber and black hoops or stripes. Alloa's shirts frequently carry two distinctive black bands and this is the case for 2007. The home kit is unchanged from last season and was previously worn in 2003-04. The away kit is an unlikely combination of claret with green trim.

Ayr have flirted with all-white kits in recent years but for 2007-08 they are once again turning out in black short. The home kit is a standard Lotto template and the away kit is in attractive light yellow and navy. The club attracted 119 entries for their shirt sponsorship draw this season.

To celebrate last season's Division Three championship, Berwick have introduced a commemorative badge and a new home shirt. This is based on the Wee Rangers' traditional black and gold vertical stripes but with all-black sleeves and dark charcoal gray stripes on the body.

Some years ago the board of Cowdenbeath came up with the idea of reinventing the club as "The Blue Brazil" on the rather tenuous basis that their blue and white home kit was similar to the World Champions change kit. Naturally they wear gold, green and blue when their blue shirts clash away from home.

Since 2002, Peterhead's all-blue kit has been virtually unchanged. For 2007-08, they have stayed in all-blue but now in a rather subtle two-tone version, produced by Hummel. Their away kit is identical but in red.

Queen's Park, promoted last season via the play-offs, are wearing the same kit this year. In fact, the famous narrow black and white hooped tops are virtually unchanged since 1873. The club are more prepared to experiment with their change kits, currently a colourful asymmetric affair in blue and orange, which just happen to be the colours of Irn Bru cans.

The Staggies are turning out in a very simple navy and white outfit this season, with subtle red piping on the chest. The away kit is a simple reversal of the home strip.
