The Cinch Scottish Professional Football League 2022 - 2023
Having lost out to Rangers the previous season, Celtic go into 2022-23 as Premiership champions. 2021-22 also brought success to the SPFL's newcomers with Cove Rangers reaching the Championship after back-to-back promotions, Kelty Hearts running away with the League Two title and Edinburgh City being promoted to League One via the play-offs. The latter have changed their name to FC Edinburgh. The splendidly named Bonnyrigg Rose make their debut in the SPFL having beaten Cowdenbeath in the pyramid play-offs.
