Scottish Premier League 2014 - 2015
For the first time since the Scottish League was formed in 1890, there are no Edinburgh clubs in the top tier. Hamilton became the first side to win promotion to the Premier League through the play-off system that was introduced under last season's restructuring. The SPFL has yet to secure a title sponsor.

Aberdeen won their first honour for 19 years, beating Inverness on penalties in the Scottish League Cup final last season. Their familiar red strip has a new shirt sponsor and the classic 1979 crest has been revived.

Celtic have enough global clout for Nike to provide them with bespoke kits and this season the change kit is in dark green with detailing taken from the official Celtic tartan while a predominantly white third strip is introduced. The "home" strip is unchanged. Last season's yellow/green strip was worn without sponsorship in a Champions' League qualifier played in Iceland where the advertising of alcohol is prohibited.

Dundee resume their career in the top tier after clinching the Championship title on the last day of the season. The trim on the first choice strip seems out of place although supporters do consider light blue part of the club's heritage. The second strip, on the other hand evokes the change kit of 2001-02. It also happens to be the colours of one of Dundee's two founding clubs, whose shirts were worn alternately in the 1890s. The club badge is embossed into the blue stripes, a nice touch.

A dramatic play-off second leg saw Accies overcome Hibs in a penalty shoot-out to win promotion. Their new first choice shirt carries the club's own brand but appears to be a standard Nike strip. The change strip is definitely Nike and retained from last season with a new shirt sponsor and white socks.

ICT have a new shirt sponsor this season. The black and white kits are retained and a very distinctive new first choice strip is introduced.

Having produced and marketed strips under their own brand since 2008, Killie have decided to sign up with Errea. Orange features prominently in all three strips, being the corporate colour of their sponsor. A star appears above the club crest to mark the 50th anniversary of Killie's last Scottish League title.

Although Macron produce some fine designs, sometimes there is too much detailing and this is the case with their first outfits for Motherwell.

Narrow stripes and all-yellow sleeves are a distinctive look for Partick's new first choice shirts. Combined with black shorts and red/black socks, we think this is going to be popular. For each change shirt sold, £3 is donated to Breast Cancer Care Scotland (hence the vivid pink detailing).

The Saints won the Scottish Cup last season and are in Europe. Their new first kit is at first glance the usual combination but there is a twist in the form of a lattice pattern printed into the shirt front. Red and black stripes are retained for the change strip but in a slightly different design to last season.

This new first kit is probably the ugliest the Saints have ever worn. The yellow change strip features a black and white stripe motif across the front that evokes the traditional Saints' colours.
