Ladbrokes Scottish League One 2018 - 2019
The Scottish season starts early, with teams playing fixtures in the Betfred Cup from mid-July. As a result suppliers can struggle to supply new kits in time and several teams played their first matches in last season's strip.

Airdrie are now supplied by Hummel but in the opening weeks of the season they wore their Under Armour shirts while waiting for the new kit to arrive, sometimes teamed with various Hummel shorts and socks. The all-red strip was worn in 1989 and, in hushed tones we are informed this was "a strip so cool it froze opponents to the spot, a strip so hot it couldn't be touched." Can't say we haven't been warned.

Brechin were, to put it mildly, out of their depth in the Championship last season. As part timers in a division of full-time professionals they were always going to struggle and in fact they finished with just four points and without a win. To their credit, on the other hand, they avoided the mistake that has led others to financial ruin by trying to spend their way out of trouble, regarding their season in the second tier as an adventure. A return to a more traditional red and white first kit is a welcome move. This is in the same Pendle template as the change kit which is retained from last season.

Dumbarton were relegated via the play-offs and start off in League One wearing an interesting variant on the style worn for the past six seasons. The characteristic chest band is in place, now complemented by black sleeves and shorts for the first time. The most unusual feature is the graded gold horizontal lines on the front of the shirt.

The grey and black strip is new while the change strip is kept from last season. The shorts and socks can be swapped around and there is a red set that can be worn with the change kit. The new first choice shirt was not delivered until the end of August and the team started the season in last season's gold and black shirts. The new top is not very different from last season's version - the offset stripes are wider, the sleeves are solid black and there's a black V neck in place of the flappy white collar.

Forfar generally retain their kits for two seasons so this term its time for a new first strip, which drops navy altogether in favour of a clean light blue and white look.

Montrose won the League Two title last season which is good going considering that a couple of years ago they might have lost their place in the SPFL. The red strip is new and has script embroidered on to the chest to commemorate this, their first title in 33 years.

Raith finished as runners-up but failed to negotiate the play-offs last season. They have kept their first choice strip and have a new yellow and black alternative with fashionable graded bands.

Stenhousemuir finished fourth in League Two last term and went on to win the play-offs. Their kits are unchanged.

After nine seasons wearing Stanno's distinctive outfits, Stranraer have switched to Joma and their rather pedestrian "Champion" design complemented by an Argentina style alternative.
