United States
France
Early goals from Thiney and Delie appeared to have put France on their way but the United States mounted a stirring come back almost immediately and the teams were level at the break. Two more goals in the second half were enough to give the Americans a comfortable win.

France
Colombia
A fifth-minute goal from Elodie Thomis was enough to ensure that France would appear in the knock-out phase while Colombia were eliminated. They could have had many more but for superb goal keeping by Sepulveda.
